Meet The Founder, Master Trainer
Travis Brorsen
Travis Brorsen is an author, speaker, & CEO of Greatest American Dog Trainers. In 2008, Travis won CBS’ national dog training competition, The Greatest American Dog. He is currently a producer & host of Animal Planet’s My Big Fat Pet Makeover & Discovery +’s Puppy Bowl Presents: The Dog Games.
Raised on an Oklahoma Ranch, he ventured from animal studies to a Hollywood career with 20+ national commercials & T.V. roles. Travis is a sought-after guest on shows like Rachel Ray, Tamron Hall, & Fox and Friends. His story has graced publications like the New York Times, Variety, & People Magazine. Travis resides in Oklahoma with his wife Heather, son Bleu and their 3 rescue dogs.

Erica Ryal
Erica Ryal is a devoted mom to her 4 kiddos and 2 pups . She has over 20 years of experience coaching people and working with animals. As a professional Psychological Coach and GADT Certified Trainer, Erica's focus is to help you save effort, energy, and time while streamlining the training process. This way you know exactly how to meet your pups needs, while caring for your own too! Her favorite thing about training pets (and their people) is helping you turn stress into resilience and foster an unbreakable bond with your pup
Meet The Trainer, Behavior Specialist
Steve Zorn
Steve Zorn has been involved with dog training for over 20 years. He has always had a passion for animals from a very early age & sensed he had a special bond with animals from childhood. His lifelong thirst for knowledge pertaining to animals & animal behavior is insatiable. Steve has been heavily involved in rescue work, where he co-founded & ran an animal rescue for 14 years. In this time Steve rescued, rehabbed, trained, & found permanent homes for well over 1000 dogs. Many of these dogs were rare breeds, or breeds deemed difficult. He quickly became the go to guy for many abused, neglected, & homeless dogs that ended up in shelters across the Midwest.
Steve is deeply passionate about German Shepherd Dogs, rare breeds, & livestock dogs utilized on farms but has always had a special fondness for any dogs that were overlooked or considered too challenging to handle. His extensive experience and successes with fearful, anxious, & aggressive dogs is something he considers among his greatest achievements!
Aside from offering resources, training, & behavior management to animal rescues, Steve has owned, trained & competed with German Shepherds for 25 years in local, regional, & national competitive dog sports. Steve is a previous member of Topline German Shepherd Dog Club, a founder of, & original president of Turner Junction Working Dog club, & VP & Co-founder Yorkville Schutzhund Club.
Additionally, Steve has trained several German Shepherd Dogs prior to their acceptance at police K-9 academies where they graduated to become full-fledged police K-9s. Having worked for & owned several training businesses around the country. Steve also had the good fortune of working with one of the founders of Vapor Wake Detection Dogs. Steve also holds an Advanced Trainer Certification from Dog Wizard.
Presently Steve enjoys training & competing with his German Shepherds and strives to provide all dog owners with the ability to build a strong bond with their dog(s) based on mutual trust and to better gauge what their dog is thinking, especially in challenging & stressful situations.
Meet The Administrative Coordinator
Brooke Massengill
Brooke grew up in Edmond, OK, and is a proud graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma. After graduating she moved to Nashville, TN where she explored her passion for acting. Upon returning to Oklahoma in 2013, she decided to pursue a new path in conservation biology which eventually put her on a trajectory towards working with companion animals. Her lifelong love for animals was evident from an early age, as she regularly brought home everything from small creatures like mice, lizards, and of course dogs. Brooke is known for her efforts in the animal welfare and rescue community where her dedication and passion have earned her recognition and opportunities for growth. In 2022 she won the YMCA, Service to Youth award for her efforts in Humane Education with the Oklahoma Humane Society. During her 5 years with OK Humane she gained invaluable experience and insights into the hearts and needs of both people and animals in communities across the nation.
Having fell in love with companion animal rescue, she continues to foster, promoting compassion and education to anyone who will listen. Brooke is a wife and mum to one 3 year old human, 5 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 fish. Among her beloved pets, her rescue staffy Worm holds a massive chunk of real-estate in her heart. Brooke is thrilled to join the Greatest American Dog Trainers Team, where she looks forward to expanding her knowledge and skills in the field of dog training!
